Obituary of Donald Roy Langille
We mourn the passing of Don Langille, who peacefully departed this world in his sleep on Wednesday, March 8th, 2023, at Strathmere Lodge, formerly of Mount Brydges, in his 93rd year. He will always be remembered by those who loved him.
Don was preceded in death by his mother Bertha, father Roy, stepfather Amos, and brother Al. He is survived by his beloved wife Vivian, sister Audrey, and sons Roy (Marianne), Mike (Mary-Ann), and Charlie (Terry). Don's grandchildren, Leanne (Tyler), Jennifer (Pete), Cassandra (Chris), Patrick (Jill), Christine, and Justin, were the light of his life.
A skilled millwright by trade, Don devoted over 35 years of his life to Coca Cola. He was also a passionate car enthusiast who enjoyed tinkering with vehicles, and a meticulous lawn keeper who took great pride in maintaining his property. Don and Vivian called Mount Brydges home for many years, where they built a home together in the 60s. Recently, they moved to Strathmere Lodge.
Don was a selfless person who never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those in need. His kindness, generosity, and warm spirit endeared him to many, and his loss will be felt deeply by his friends, neighbours, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of Don's life will be held at Elliott-Madill Funeral Home, 22424 Adelaide Road, Mount Brydges, from 11am to 1pm on Sunday, March 19th, 2023. Inurnment Mount Brydges Cemetery at a later date. Donations to the London Regional Cancer Program gratefully acknowledged.
