Earl and Family, I was saddenned to hear of Ev's passing. When I moved to the area and transferred to the Mount Brydges Lioness she made me feel very welcomed..
We have another Angel watching over us and I am sure she is planning some event in the heavens.
She will surely be missed.

On behalf of PDG Mark & PDG Joyce Mahovlich our sincere sympathies and condolences to Earl and family. Mark remembers when Ev walked into the Belle River Lions Club hospitality room and needed some studs for her jacket. She simply said "Are there any studs I can borrow". Realizing what she said the room filled with laughter and she had all kinds of offers.

The general consensus of those of us left here on earth is that Ev was so much to so many of us. She has left a legacy of community spirit, friendship and good humour. A person with commitment, positivity and lots of community involvement. She was one of the visionaries in the early 1980’s giving Lioness the start it needed in District A1. For forty years she helped shape the District as a Past District President and then at MDA as President in 2004-2005.
One of my first memories of Ev is as DP when she visited Springfield. Ronald McDonald house was a project she supported and I had the idea to use that as our Parade Float that year. She was so encouraging!
When I finally decided to be District President she and Earl were some of the first to reach out to me to offer support and guidance. Her presence at District functions, Laugh & Learn and Swans Ontario will be sorely missed.
Ev, our Swans community thanks you for your unwavering decades of support. To Earl, Darlene, Deneen and all the family – know that we grieve with you on your loss and wrap you in our hugs. May your memories bring you comfort in the days ahead.

My sincere sympathies to Earl, Darlene & Deneen and all of Evelyn's family.
I remember meeting Ev for the first time at an A1 Lioness cabinet meeting in 1982. She was always a special Lady and willing to help and give advice. Once I got to know her - we both realized we also belonged to the Order of Eastern Star - where she was a member in Orangeville, I think, and myself in Springfield. What a small world it is. Her guidance and advise will be missed and her smiling face at our Swans functions. You may be gone from our presence but your memory will always be there!

Ev always brought joy, a friendly smile and encouragement to those of us who needed just that extra little push! In the Lioness Club activities in which she participated, it was fun. I remember one particular meeting, during the winter when Ev quickly became a ‘snow person’ in her group, wrapped in toilet tissue! She donned a hat and scarf, as well. She was such a good sport!
Ev also inducted me into my Presidency of the Port Stanley Lioness. I requested and both she and Earl responded. I felt very special to have her friendship.
My condolences go out to Earl and the family, and to her many friends. Rest In Peace my friend. ❤️
