Ruth was a rare person. She was kind and compassionate. When each of our girls was born she gave them each a gift. She never forgot their names, and would still ask of them after all these years.
She was an amazing person to talk too and was knowledgeable on so many varying subjects. The visits will be greatly missed.
We were so blessed to have known her.
Our deepest sympathy Loretta and kids. We are thinking of you all.❤️

I worked with Ruth at the Post Office for a few years and she was so proud of you Loretta and her wonderful grandchildren. I haven't seen her for a number of years but I see her family grew and you would have many memories. May God give you comfort and peace at this difficult time. Sincerely Jean McPhail

Dear Loretta, Lorna, Marilyn & extended families:
I was saddened to hear from my parents (Noreen & Pieter De Vlugt), that Ruth had passed away.
It has been over 33 years since I married Paul & moved from London, but I have many happy memories of times of fellowship spent with Ruth & her extended family during my time at Glad Tidings.
Our thoughts & prayers are with you as you mourn Ruth's passing. May the knowledge that she is reunited in heaven with those who have gone before, give you peace & may happy memories of times spent together keep her alive in your hearts.
Terri & Paul Clark

My heart is broken. The tears are flowing. I loved you so very much Aunt Ruth. You were someone I always enjoyed spending time with. I was just me and you loved me with no conditions. I dont know if you ever realized how important you were to the family or the impact you had on our lives. You were like a second mom to me. When I was younger and even as i grew bigger lol, I remember the countless hours i would spend with Aunt Ruth sitting on her lap in her rocking chair as she would rock me back and forth and talk with me, sing to me and give me words of comfort, encouragement and wisdow. When I was down or upset she was always there. We spent hours together baking and cooking in her kitchen. A passion we both shared. She was always there for me. I wanted to loose some weight before my wedding so she would come over every morning and we would walk together. I enjoyed so many things with Aunt Ruth over the years. She was always sending out a card to thank you or show you appreciation or lift you up. I will remember fondly our last family get together with Aunt Ruth at her house when she had us all over to eat thanksgiving leftovers. As always Aunt Ruth went the extra mile and added other dishes to the table. The tables were decorated beautifully and the candles were lit. She always thought of everything and everyone. I could go on forever but I wont. I will try to move on and find joy and hold dear fond memories and not remain in grief or sorrow because you would tell me that was silly and not helpful and you wouldnt want that for me. I love you Aunt Ruth!
