Obituary of Marilyn Avis Grigg

Peacefully at Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy on Friday, September30th, 2022, our beloved Aunt Marilyn Grigg, formerly of Mount Brydges passed away in her 94th year. 

Daughter of the late Mabel and Roy Grigg.  Marilyn had many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly: Robert Grigg (Denise), Jayne Kennedy (Michael), Lynn Grigg, Fran Clark, Randy Grigg (deceased), Marilyn Grigg, Ronald Lucas (Beverly), Terry Lucas (deceased), Robert Lucas (Eleanor), Joyce Nevin (Glen), Judy Mackey (John), David Lucas (Linda), Keith Lucas (Joan), Elizabeth Mann (deceased), Sharon Bidtnes (Toby), Bonnie Brammer, Valerie Gough, and Deborah McGuire (Joe).  She also had many great nieces and nephews that loved her so much. 

Marilyn lived all her life in Mount Brydges.  She worked at the local Royal Bank and in the original office site of Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy.  Marilyn was heavily involved in St. Jude’s Anglican Church as treasurer for many years.  She also worked with the Cubs and Scouts of Mount Brydges, the Lioness Club, VON, and volunteered at Strathroy Museum.  In 2004 Marilyn received the Ontario Volunteer Award. 

A Celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held at the Elliott-Madill Funeral Home, Mount Brydges on Saturday, October 8th at 11am, visitation from 10 – 11 am.  Inurnment Mount Brydges Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Scouts Canada or an animal shelter of your choice would be gratefully appreciated.
