Obituary of Robert James Elwes
Peacefully with his family by his side at Strathroy Hospital on Thursday, May 19th, 2022, Robert “Bob” Elwes of Komoka and formerly of Delaware in his 83rd year.
Beloved husband for 63 ½ years of Joyce Elwes (nee: Gamble). Loving father of Vicki (Ron) Thompson, Debbie (Ted) Clark, Sandi (Mike) Yandt, Cheryl Oliver, and Bobbi-Jo Elwes (Jason Beaver). Proud grandpa/”Poppy” of Angela Thompson, Sommer Zebregts, Bob Thompson, Michael Taylor, Ryan Taylor, Joey Elwes-Clark, Erin Breedon, Curtis Oliver, Aleigha Elwes-Clark, Mandy Elwes, and Chad Oliver, and 25 great grandchildren. Dear brother-in-law of Pat Elwes. Survived by his many cousins and friends. Predeceased by his mother Nellie, his brother William, and his sister Wilma.
Bob was a retired Sealtest franchise owner and a retired volunteer firefighter with the Delaware Fire Department, serving for 32 years.
Family will receive friends at the Delaware Community Centre, 2652 Gideon Drive, Delaware on Saturday, May 28th, 2022 from 1 to 4 pm to celebrate Bob’s life.
