Gwen and Family. So sorry to hear of Gerry’s passing. He was my boss in the late 60’s. Also after I left, I would come back to fill in for vacation relief. He certainly was a wonderful man and boss, was a pleasure to work for him. My husband and two girls loved to go to your home for the picnics. You had so many activities planned. The children as well as us really enjoyed our time and the corn on the cob and delicious roasts he prepared in the ground.

Dear Forbes Family:
I had the privilege of working with Gerry at CN during the sixties. He was such a gracious, sensitive, and caring man. I experienced that personally when I mentioned to him that I was leaving CN and going to seminary to prepare for full time ministry. He was such a wonderful encouragement to me as I entered this new chapter of my life.
I remember with fondness an evening dinner together with the family way back when Bill and Cathy were little kids!!
Gwen, Bill, Cathy, and families, my wife Dawn and I send our love and sympathy to you as you mourn the loss of an amazing gentleman whose dedication to family and friends made such an amazing impact on the lives of so many.
May the words of the 23rd Psalm be of comfort to you during these days.

Aunt Gwen, Cathy and Bill and family,
I was very sad to hear about the passing of Uncle Gerry. I remember Sunday afternoons in the summer at their place having fun running around the property with all of the other cousins while the adult sat in a circle on the lawn with all of their lawn chairs. My condolences to all of you.

Dear Gwen and Family. We, too, remember the wonderful CN Picnics at your home in Komoka and how much Sara and Jenny looked forward to fishing in the creek, the children’s races, and lining up for those delicious cobs of corn soaking in the butter bottle. Gerry was such a kind soul and notwithstanding I tagged him with the name “Gaffer”, he always had the big smile. We shared some great times at CN.
