Obituary of Judith Ellen Welch

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Judith "Judy" Welch of Strathroy on Wednesday April 20th in her 73rd year. Judy passed peacefully at St Joseph’s hospice in London Ontario after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Now reunited with her beloved husband Charlie. Loving mother of Cheryl (Dave) Rastin of Mt. Brydges, Chris Welch of Victoria B.C, Michael (Shannon) Collins of Tillsonburg. Proud Nana of Taylor, Owen, Tyanna, Thomas, Tyler and Ethan. Sadly missed by step daughters Brenda (Harold) Mutter of Wasaga Beach, Vikki (Mike) Searle of Komoka and step daughter in law Lynn Welch of London and predeceased by her husband Larry. Dear sister of Barry (Karon) Collins of Waterloo. Sister in law to Dolly Bouk of London and predeceased by her husband Jack. Also remembered fondly by her nieces and nephews and their families. Also greatly missed by her four legged baby “Sophie”. Judy took great pleasure in spending time with her family and friends, working in her gardens, baking and making her beautiful quilts. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Dr. Bishop, the nursing staff and the team of devoted volunteers at St Joseph’s hospice. Everyone of you made us feel like part of your family and we will be forever grateful for the care and compassion we received durning mom’s stay. As per Judy’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place and there will be a private family interment at a later date.
