Rest in peace, dearest Brady, to one of the kindest, gentlest souls I ever had the privilege and honour of knowing. There's not one person I can think of whose lives you touched that don't yearn for one last dinner, one last laugh, one last coffee, one last conversation, or perhaps just one last simple moment with you before departing on your new journey. My heart aches to be informed of such misfortune!!
It is a sad day when anyone has to deal
With this! It's even sadder for me when it happens to a club member or anyone who comes through my experience!
Brady was a KingStreet School Of Boxing member back in 2008 he assisted me in my business through school Montclam a work co-op placement initially then he became a club member too! (I grandfathered him a lifetime membership. Brady joined the club as a member and his fees were donated to the team to assist us financially! A selfless caring young man i witnessed! Very helping and considerate!)
Brady is such a beautiful person and I did my best to give him a positive experience!
Brady did a fine job working with me!! :)
I took the biggest team of fighters ever produced in Canada out of a single boxing club to a tournament in 2008 November where we won the best team award! (Our 2nd team trophy that year back to back)
Brady was awesome! He put in 10 hours a week through his placement.
He learned along side me how to run the programs/classes and other club business duties before we launched off our 27 member fighting team.
He got all the fighters ready for me just before their matches He warned them up!
He learned how to use the pads!
He stretched them
Had all their equipment in order before competion
Water
Towel
Mouth guard
Ensured their hands were wrapped
And other smaller details that go along with this job!
Seeing the fighter to weigh-ins medicals
Assisting them with setting in acros the board for fights and their rooms and casual needs. Keeping the fighters comforted....
He got them gloved up and did everything a manager/coach does to prep them immediately before the fighters entered into the ring!
(This is a big job! Lots of pressure it can be dealing with fighters especially 27 of them!! Brady got to know all the club members very well had a good relationship and work ethics i had witnessed with him working with me under my wing! This was a growing point in Brady's life at 18yrs old? and entering into manhood with work experience that he enjoyed being apart of and was enthused with! :)
Brady played a big part in my coaching history!
We have a team picture with Brady in it and he'll be immortalized for his help! (He is an awesome student!)
I am prepared to pass down Brady's lifetime membership to any interested family member!
Keeping the light going let's say!! The new club name is 4C's Life & Boxing Academy this is a sincere gesture!!
I'd be looking forward to delivering a family member an experience Brady unffortuantely didn't get to follow up with :(

Brady if i wouldve known that wed would be the last time i would hear from you or see you i wouldve hugged you and not let go brother. when i woke up for work that morning and saw that you had left i had a bad feeling. i went to work and started texting you. then i heard a report on the radio of a fatal crash out near your neck of the woods and my stomach sank. i then spent all day texting you to see if you were ok. I later found out it was you.........your so young. you were a great listener. great advice. awesome personality. we never argued or had words once in the 7 years i was proud to call you a friend. you spent time with my kids and always told me what a great job i was doing with them. on the night you passed you did me one last huge favor and walked my 17 year old son home at 12:30 and knowing i was asleep text my phone and said "i walked corbyn home. all is good brother" why didnt you stay and tell me in person brother? im so hurt Brady. i cant get your face out of my head and that last text shows how me and everyone feels "you were amazing". Im gonna see you one day in the future brother and were gonna have words over why you left i hope you know!!! So many pictures of us all and good times. in ever pic its you and i beside each other. I lost not just a friend but a brother in you. i cannot process this information cuz the tears just keep falling and the pain in my chest wont subside. ill see you one day again i believe this to be true. but til then im gonna miss you like crazy. cant believe ill never see you again or get a good day text from you every day like i used too. Brady was a joyful addition to the family at Canada Steel. He was always so polite and hard working. I particularly enjoyed his lighthearted demeanour .
Just this week , I spoke to him about the plate in the plant, which he took personal pride in the organization and safety. He told me that he moved back home, and that he was excited about his new car.
Brady was a great kid. A good friend to his fellow workers, and a warm and happy kid to be around. Canada Steel is missing one of our own.
I am deeply sorry for this loss. I hope his family will know just how much we loved this kid.
