My condolences to Cory and Cassidy and all of Larry's family and friends. Larry and I had great conversations, he always had time for a chat, especially when he was driving. I knew who it was as soon as I heard his opening line that he would like to either sell to or buy insurance from me. Larry was a good friend and colleague and I will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time. May your memories help to console you.

Cassidy and Cory, words cannot truly show how I felt for Lawrence (my nickname for him out of utmost respect and maybe a little silliness) but I'll try. He was not just a work colleague but a friend. Whenever he called me he would start the conversation with, "Brad, you're a smart man." It always made me smile. I am totally shocked by his passing and will miss him every day. We were shocked and bereft to hear of Larry’s sudden passing. He was a kind man, a good man, a caring and supportive colleague and friend who will be missed so much. Although we didn’t see Larry a lot since retiring from Co-operators, we kept in touch and looked forward to hosting him again (post-covid) in Florida during his annual trip for spring training. No matter how long it had been, you just picked up with Larry where you left off. He was so easy to be around, no judgement, such a great sense of humour. Our deepest condolences to Larry's family, to Cory and Cassidy and to all of those whose lives were touched by Larry and who share this heart-breaking loss.

The Hubert family sends our condolences to the Goetz family. Larry will be greatly missed by us as we have truly benefited from his dedication and love for minor baseball in our community for over 12 years. You could call Larry at any time about baseball and he would offer his support. I will also greatly miss his periodic calls about some odd or unusual play in a minor baseball game or a major league game to discuss the umpire's call or the rule or how I would interpret the play.......we could easily discuss the play for an hour only to agree to discuss the play further on another day.

The DKMB U15 Bantam Select team held a moment of silence for Larry before the game in St Thomas tonight. They went on to win their first game of the season by a score of 16-4. Cory & Cassidy; your dad touch so many lives and left an amazing legacy. I was fortunate enough to be one of the people he touched. I can honestly say I loved your dad. I met your dad in 2005 and quickly changed a professional relationship to an incredible friendship. We confided on many topics both business and family (yes we talked about you). I fortunately talked to him a week before his passing. He loved you like crazy and was so proud of you both. Beverley and I had so many opportunities to dine with your mom and dad. We continued that after your mom's passing in December 2018. We attended so many theatre productions over the years with the last one August 2019 at Huron County Playhouse seeing Grease (one that your mom loved too!). I'm so sad for you both beyond words. I will miss Larry like crazy, however have the most amazing memories. It was an honour to call him a great and trusted friend. In his memory we have made a donation to London Health Sciences Foundation.

This man was like a father to me. He taught me so many things... from within our industry, as a man and as a person.
11 years ago, I met him and ever since that day, he took me under his wings. He was always available to help with a client, make the 40 minute drive down the 402 for lunch and even booked a diamond for a day and had one of his players volunteer to help with a one on one training day for our son Ethan. He had a "Snack Bar Contract" with Ethan that they renewed every year with a high five or a hand shake.
It is surreal to think that I will never have another conversation with my friend. He was my confidant, my mentor, the guy I'd go to for advice on everything from work to life. He listened intently when I was upset and one of the greatest things he ever taught me was, everything that happens to us is either a roadblock or a pylon... many times we look at a pylon, as if it's a roadblock. Take the time to respond accordingly because there's nothing you can do with a roadblock, but a pylon, you can move around those quite easily.
Even recently, Larry was driving a couple weeks ago and called... I wasn't available, nor did he even ask for me... he just chatted with Tara Antle for about 15 minutes. Talked about how he was doing, work stuff, life stuff and asked about the kiddos. He ALWAYS had time for her and our children. He was Uncle Larry to the kids.
I didn't have many minutes without tears Sunday and Monday.... the grief was heavy...
When Larry took Agency and left the WEPM role, I was selfish... I hated the thought of not having him to help, to go to for advice, but really, although the role changed, he didn't. I wish I'd answered more of his calls, I wish I'd returned more of his calls and I wish we'd had one more get together! I should have congratulated him more, told him how proud I was of his steps in life, to take on agency with his son and begin to build the Goetz Empire! I didn't... I'll always regret that!
What I won't regret, are the many many conversations, get togethers and the bond we created! I'm so proud to have known you Larry! You have forever changed my life and Tara and I will be doing something in your honour very soon, that we hope continues your legacy within our own family and community and further.
It was an absolute pleasure to work with you, joke with you (Summer Slams in Corunna with Rhonda Rousey and Joe Rogan, Bob's Pizza and so many other jokes) and those moments where we just chatted, like a father and a son...
Gone but never forgotten man... I love you, my wife loves you and our kids will forever remember you!
To Cory and Cassidy, our deepest condolences... our hearts and thoughts are with you during this time and you know, anything we can do, we will be there in an instant! Watching you deal with the passing of your mother at her memorial in 2018 and now the passing of your father, our hearts are absolutely broken for you both! However, we know you will forever cherish the relationship and the good times with your folks and you will do them proud and someday, see them again!
