I will treasure many happy memories of Aunt Dorothy from childhood family events
including Christmas in the pony barns. I still have a copper tooling project done
with her and love a few of her ceramic projects also. So glad Donna, Cheryl and I got to visit her in
Guelph and see her lovely room and have tea in the dining room with her.
Sending virtual hugs to Ron, Bruce, Pat and Lynn and families.
Love Dianne

We are saddened by the news of your mother’s passing.
I remember your mother as a gracious hostess, presiding over countless family meals and get-togethers. Poised and unflappable, she was the centre of calm, no matter how many excited cousins clamoured around her. As a mother, Dorothy seemed firm, but fair, with an always-ready smile. And to your Dad, she was, invariably, his dearest ‘Dot’.
You four were blessed with a marvelous mother and a treasure trove of indelible memories of life with her.
Our sympathies to you all. Rhonda and Miles

We were saddened to hear of Aunt Dorothy's passing. Although our contact had been limited over the past years due to many factors, it is always difficult to lose a parent. Somehow it seems that we as children have been suddenly set adrift without our anchor. As a child I remember playing with Pat and Lynn and Aunt Dorothy was always there with a smile even as we built houses with her blankets and wooden drying frame in the back yard not realizing she would have to re-launder them when we were done. Over the years, we have all gone our separate ways and not seen each other as often as some families but I always remember Aunt Dorothy as a kind and loving mother to her family, ready with a smile and a treat and was always amazed at how poised and "put together" she was and how she always looked as though she was much younger than her years. I know she will be missed by those who knew her and hope that many beautiful memories will sustain you through this difficult time. Goodbye, Aunt Dorothy you are now at peace and re-united with Uncle Frank. Rest in Peace!

We were deeply saddened to learn of Dorothy's passing. I vividly remember Dorothy & my mother playing Bridge with the other members in the Club. When the Club played at our home we always had to go to bed early but never fell asleep due to the talking & laughing downstairs. A donation has been made to the Blyth United Church in Dorothy's memory.
