Obituary of George Junior Robinson

George Jr. Robinson October 16, 1921 – June 8, 2020 George sadly passed away on June 8th, 2020 in London, Ontario. He was predeceased by his parents George and Jessie Robinson of Mount Brydges, Ontario and all his siblings. He was the youngest of 8 Children. George was predeceased by his loving wife Lillian (Nee Ellison), children Cathy, Chris, and son-in-law Keith. He will be sadly missed by children Carol (John), Don (Berndina), Mary, Brian (Elaine), and in-laws Yvon and Carol. 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. George was a WWII veteran from the Mt. Brydges and London area. He resided at Parkwood Hospital after the death of his dear wife Lillian in 2016. He was a caring father treasured in our hearts for his love, generosity, common sense, and mentorship. He remains treasured in our hearts always. To quote his grandson Michael “grandpas’ death is very sad but at the same time I feel fortunate to have had so much time with him. He is and always will be an inspiration to me. Our parents always say how great our children are. I agree and I feel the reason this is true is due to grandpa and grandma’s values and character that they instilled in us all. It is his legacy and it will live through generations.” This expression of love is but one example of how each of us feel during this time. Dad’s interest, humour, fascination, and desire to learn about all of life’s manifestations, his love of music, poetry, gardening, and love for his family, has served as a foundation for us all. Our family wish to express our gratitude to the devoted staff at Parkwood Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion. The family will celebrate his life at a later date. A private family interment will take place at Cooks Cemetery. Donations in memory of George to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Condolences may be left at WWW.ELLIOTTMADILL.COM
