Obituary of Beverley May Darlene McTaggart

Beverley May Darlene McTaggart (nee Arbuckle) of Delaware, Ontario at the age of 81. On April 3rd 2020. Beverley was reunited with her husband Ross to walk together again, hand and hand in heaven. Bev passed away peacefully at Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy. Loving wife of 61 years to the late Ross Robert McTaggart. Loving mother to Gregory Ross (Margorie) McTaggart, Daniel John (Shelley) McTaggart, Cynthia Darlene (Dean) Kirkey; four grandchildren Paul Daniel McTaggart, Erica Ann McTaggart, Luke Michael Kirkey and Logan Gary Kirkey. Sister to Barbara (Dennis) Clark, Carol (Rudy) Jongsma, predeceased by Marylin (Alan) Dale and Ted (Gayle) Palmer, Steven (Debbie) Palmer Born September 23, 1938 to the late Winifred and George (Ruby) Palmer, raised by her loving grandparents the late Frederick and Isabel Arbuckle and Aunt/ Uncle Vi and Russ Copeland. Bev worked at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School in Delaware as the beloved Librarian for more than 20 years. Bev was in integral part of the Delaware United Church for many years acting as Sunday school superintendent. She always assisted her husband Ross in taking notes and printing up bulletins for the many groups and clubs he was involved in. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, working in her gardens and at their cottage in Port Franks. Beverley will be greatly missed by all her family and friends, but knowing she has been reunited with Ross provides us with a sense of peace. The family would like to thank the staff at Strathmere Lodge for all their care and compassion. There will be a private family internment at Oakland Cemetery in Delaware. Pastor Beth Parsons officiating. We ask that people stay home and be safe during this most difficult time the world is facing.
