Obituary of Hendrik Gerhard Bloemendal

Suddenly at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Saturday July 14^th, 2018. Hendrik “Henk” Bloemendal of Mount Brydges in his 90^th year. Beloved husband of Mary Bloemendal (nee Bruinink). Loving father of Bert (Debbie) Bloemendal of Delaware, Henrietta (Henry) Swinkels of Williamsford, Ben Bloemendal of Mount Brydges and predeceased by daughter Jane (2017) and survived by her husband Marinus Noordermeer of Williamsford. Remembered Grandpa of 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Survived by brother Roelof (Ann) Bloemendal of New Zealand and predeceased by 6 other of his siblings. Henk and Mary were longtime owners of the Mount Brydges Flower shop.

Friends will be received by the family at the Elliott-Madill Funeral Home, Mount Brydges on Monday July 16^th from 7pm to 9pm. Funeral service to follow on Tuesday from Hope Community Christian Reformed Church, Mount Brydges commencing at 11am with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Phil Apoll officiating. Interment Mount Brydges Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
