Obituary of Rev. Hugh Archibald Munro

Peacefully at Chelsey Park Nursing Home in London on Wednesday October 19th, 2016. Rev. Hugh A. Munro in his 92nd year. Loving husband of Grace Munro (nee Jacques). Cherished and loving father of Darlene (Bill) Meinen, Hugh (Barbara) and Paul (Sherri). Loving grandfather of Timothy (Kristy), Michael (Brittany), Joshua (Shannon), Jeremy (Nicole), Callum (Ashley), Cara, Cameron, Brandon and grt grandchildren Brayden, Gavin, Tyler and Ryan. Sadly missed by his sister Joyce (Gilbert) Sutherland. Predeceased by parents David and Eva Munro and brother Robert (1998), and Sister-in-law Ruth (2010). Hughs accomplishments included Pastor affiliated with the Pentecostal assemblies of Canada for over 50 years and served as an executive member in the Western and Eastern Ontario districts. He Pastored the church in Mount Brydges, Essex, Cambridge and Belleville as well as Interim work amongst the Native communities with Northland missions and in OKA and had a special place in his heart for their communities. Friends may call at the Elliott-Madill funeral home , Mount Brydges on Sunday, October 23rd, 2016 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Funeral service to follow from the Community Christian Centre Mount Brydges on Monday commencing at 1pm (visitation 1 hr. prior to service) Rev. Stewart Hunter assisted by Rev. Don Rogers officiating. Interment Mount Brydges Cemetery. Donations to The Gideons International or the P.A.O.C Missions Dept. (Cetrulo Budget) would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
