Obituary of Hubertus "Bertien" Gubbels

Unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday, November 7^th, 2024, Hubertus “Bertien” Emanuel Gubbels of Mount Brydges in his 86^th year. 

Beloved husband for 61 years of Johanna Gubbels (nee: Jansen).  Loving Father of Hubert Jr. (Christine), John (Shirley), Alex (Eileen), and Carol Kiefer.  Cherished Opa of 9 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, and 12 step great grandchildren. Dear brother of Catherine “Toos”, Pierre, Cleo, Maria, Gerard "Sra", Dora, Bill, Leonard, and Gerda.  Survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Family will receive friends at the Elliott-Madill Funeral Home, Mount Brydges on Thursday, November 14^th, 2024, from 2 - 4pm & 6 – 8pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at All Saints Parish, 124 Front Street East, Strathroy, Ontario N7G 1Y9, on Friday, November 15^th, 2024, commencing at 11am. Interment Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Mount Brydges.
