Obituary of Thomas Allan May
It is with great sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of my best friend and husband Tom May, October 14th, 2024. Beloved husband of 26 years to Gayle. Dear stepfather of Laura and Rob Ireland and proud papa of Allay and Jake.
Predeceased by his parents Thomas M May (1968), stepfather Bill Cuthbert (1975) and his mother Patricia May (1987). Brother-in-law of Donald (Audrey), Allan (Anita) Larry (Ann) and survived by Marilyn (late Rod), Britt, Kathy Dupuis and many nieces and nephews.
Tom was a proud life member of 43 years of the Branch 598 Delaware Legion. He served as president, houseman and many other roles on the executive.
Tom will be forever remembered by many friends, family and coworkers of Drewlo Holdings, London for his tremendous sense of humour, fun-loving spirit, great love of rock music (AC/DC), the Toronto Maple Leaf’s, Cincinnati Bengals and Nascar.
Gayle would like to express her heartfelt gratitude to Dr. L Saini, Rachel and the oncology team for their exceptional care through Tom’s journey and to the I.C.U. team at Strathroy Hospital.
In keeping with Tom’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of his life will be held at the Delaware Legion, Branch 598, 11557 Longwood Road, Delaware on Saturday, November 9th, 2024 at 3:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom’s name may be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities Southwestern Ontario, or a charity of your choice.
