Obituary of James Robert Thistle

It is with great sadness that the family of James Thistle (MWO ret'd), of St Thomas, Ontario, announces that he has passed on the 30th of August 2024, at the age of 91.

James is lovingly remembered by his sons: Robert (Janice), Donald (Brenda), daughter Susan (Allan), his 7 grandchildren and his 12 great grandchildren.

James was predeceased by his wife, Irmgard, of 58 years, whom he adored; parents Herman and Pearl, brother Donald (Molly), sister Deanna (Robert) and grandson Scott.

As per James' wishes he will be cremated and there will be no formal service; instead, a private family service will be held at the Shelburne Cemetery, Shelburne, Ontario.

A special thanks go out to those that provided him care and comfort in his final days at the Parkwood Veterans Hospital, London.
