Obituary of Naomie Erin Schuyler

Unexpectedly on Friday June 28th, 2024, Naomie Erin Schuyler of Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation, Bear clan, in her 23rd year has passed away. She was a mother to two beautiful children son Zilyn Lahay Antone-Schuyler (Nick Antone) and Daughter Luna Lynn Cruz-Schuyler (Edwin Cruz).

Beloved daughter of Aaron Dickey (father), Donna Norris (mother), Rory Norris (father). A loving sister to Lightning Schuyler, Keyairah Schuyler (Konrad French) Christopher Simpson (Maya Nicholas), Jordan Schuyler, Aaron Dickey Jr., Donald, Kayden, and Gauge. Beloved auntie to nephew Zovelle Decoda French. Beloved niece to Chris Dickey, Meagan Dickey, Lauren Fraser, Brad Norris, Chris Norris and Jason Norris. Will be missed by many family and friends.

Naomie was beautiful inside and out, she always knew how to make you laugh and smile, her big auntie laugh was contagious. She was the strongest out of all of us and anyone we’ve ever known. Her cooking was always amazing and as she would love to say “smokin” like Jim Carrey from the mask movie. That was her favourite line when she was playing around. She was an artist. She loved to draw and create things and loved doing her makeup and getting dressed up. She will be deeply missed by everyone. “Love, peace and fry bread grease”.  One of Naomie’s famous catch phrases.

Friends will be received by the family at the Elliott-Madill Funeral Home, Mount Brydges (22424 Adelaide Rd.) on Tuesday July 2nd from 7pm to 9pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday July 3rd commencing at 11am. Cremation to follow.

Arrangements entrusted to Elliott-Madill Funeral Home.
