Obituary of Melaina Jalene Ireland

Suddenly in the early morning of Friday, June 14^th, 2024, Tsyenakel Melaina Jalene Ireland, Bear Clan and proud member of Oneida of the Thames First Nation, in her 34^th year.

Loving daughter of Sharon Joyce Ireland, father David Williams Jr. and dad Adrien Simon.

Loving mother of Lindsey Micheal Chase Ireland. Beloved older sister of Cody Simon (Bryson), Shania Simon (Tehokat Nicholas), Brianne Simon (Hunter), Tia Simon (Zoe Graves) and Kaeden. Loving auntie of Hunter and Bryson.

Lovingly remembered by her grandma Marilyn Ireland, uncle Vaughn Elijah (Britney), her aunties Jude, Andrea, Marla, Ursula, and Beverley Williams and Vanessa Williams.

Predeceased by her grandpas Vincent Elijah (Dickie Bird), Dave Williams, her grandmas, Jean Williams, Sandra Simon, her aunty Christina, and cousin Marlee Ireland.

Loved and remembered by many cousins, friends and community members of London, Ontario and CMO.

Tsyenakel, Melaina, Mel, Blue Eyes was a selfless, strong and compassionate person.  She loved to hang out with her family and her friends often laughing, smiling and “Shooting the shit”. Mel was most known for her amazing ability to unconditionally support and love others. Growing up Mel was always there for her family and friends. Mel was especially proud of and protective of her younger siblings, who will miss her dearly. Mel will be remembered for her legacy of being a kind soul, who was always giving, loving and making sure her family and friends were well taken care of. “Family First”!

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 18th, 2024 at the Elliott Madill Funeral Home, Mount Brydges from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Funeral service will commence at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 19th, 2024 from the Funeral Home.  Interment Oneida Zion Anglican Cemetery.
