Obituary of Kenneth James Ross

At University Hospital on Wednesday August 10th, Kenneth James "Ken" Ross in his 62nd year. Best friend and loving spouse of Laurie (Dart) Ross of Mount Brydges, formerly of London. Ken is the eldest son of the late Jenny (Okonski) Ross (2006) and the late Robert Ross (1978) of London. Dearly loved brother of Rob & Sandi (Byerley), Ross, Pete & Cathie (Coulson) Ross, Bill & Kim (Storey) Ross all of London. Brother-in-law of Helen (Dart/Csont) & Rick Riechard of West Montrose, Vic & Cathy (Brown) Dart of Kintore, Peggy Driesman of Belmont, and predeceased by her husband Don (2013). Predeceased by brother-in-law Peter Csont August 10 (1988). Much loved uncle of several nieces and nephews. Ken grew up in a VLA neighbourhood in the Bradley Ave, and Wellington Rd. area. He attended Laurier and H.B. Beal secondary schools in London. Ken retired 8 years ago from a long career at Canada Post. Ken met Laurie at the Post Office. They began dating in November 1978 and have been together ever since. Laurie and Ken enjoyed houseboating on the Trent-Severn with friends for many years before purchasing their first of two power boats. Ken loved Nascar races with his brothers, and race trips with friends. He loved fishing for perch at Long Point and boating on Lake St. Clair. He and Laurie have lots of fond memories, not to mention great stories from their travels. Ken was a "gentle giant" of a man. He is missed by his furry little girl "Brandi". Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Friday August 26th at the Elliott-Madill Funeral Home in Mount Brydges from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will follow on Saturday August 27th at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior.
