Obituary of Joan Weekes

Peacefully at Oneida Long Term Care with her family by her side on Friday, November 24^th, 2023, Joan Weekes (nee: Elijah) of Oneida Nation in her 78^th year. 

Beloved Wife of the late Chester Weekes.  Loving Mother of Dan (Lena) and Doug (Robin).  Proud Grandmother of Darren, Andrew (Courtney), Tyler (Meaghan), Mitchell and Brendan and her great grandchildren Zachary, Kiwi, Meeka and Benny.  Dear sister of Susie (Lawrence) and her sisters-in-law Clara and Marilyn.  Predeceased by her parents Jim and Velma and her siblings Cameron, Doris, Lyle, Terry, Charlie, Florence, Betty and Doreen (Nov 22, 2023).  The family wishes to thank all the staff and caregivers at Oneida Long Term Care for all their compassion and support provided to Joan and her family.

Family will receive friends at the Elliott-Madill Funeral Home on Monday, November 27^th, 2023 from 6 to 8pm where the Celebration of Joan and her sister Doreen’s life will be held on Tuesday commencing at 11am.  www.elliottmadill.com
