Obituary of Ruth Elwyn Sans

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ruth Elwyn Sans (nee McLarty) in her 93rd year, a special wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Eldest daughter of the late Neil and Edith McLarty (Neepawa Manitoba) and beloved wife of the late Walter Sans. Loving and deeply missed mother of Rick (Joyce), David, Loralee (Late Frank Morrison), Julie (Ken), and Brent (Julie). She was the proud grandmother of Melissa (Mike), Jennifer (Jon), Scott (Lisa), Jeremy, Kevin, Rebecca, Katlyn, Amie (Mike), Kyle (Amanda) and Courtney (J.R.). Cherished great grandmother of Sara, Kayla, Madison, Connor, Michael, Carter, Gabryelle, Drake, Kalyn, Mason, Noah, Chloe, Charley, Jordyn and Jocelyn. Dear sister of Donald (Marlene), Jack (Jean),  Keith (Margaret) and predeceased by brother Bill (Marj) and Kathleen Jean. Special thank you to Loralee for her care given over the past several years.  Thank you Joyce and CCAC for providing the nursing care to allow Mom to stay in her home.  To our wonderful neighbours Al, Jean, Murray and family for your caring acts of love.. Ruth spent her career as a registered nurse and once married devoted her life raising her family.

Friends will be received by the family at the Elliott-Madill Funeral Home (22568 Komoka Rd.) Komoka on Thursday May 4th from 6pm to 9pm. Funeral mass to be celebrated on Friday from St. Peters Basilica (533 Clarence St.)  London commencing at 10am. Father Jim Mockler officiating. (A C.W.L visitation also at the church at 9:30 am.) Interment St. Peter's Cemetery, London.   Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
