To Barb and family, my very deepest condolences to you. My name is Norm Burns and I worked with Mel in the 1980’s for CN Rail in the Welding Department. I am currently working in Sarnia and I buy the London paper every day and saw Mel’s announcement. I am so sorry for your loss. I have never forgotten him and all of the fun times we had. He always called himself “this crazy Indian”. I always will remember his great laugh and what a great guy he was. Again, my deepest sympathies to you all during this sad time.

We remember Mel and his love of his children and their skating and hockey. Mel is was graciously welcomed many times at the arena carrying tons and tons of delicious chocolates, bunnies and treats to our skating competitions ! Thank-you Mel and Barb.Those were good times!
No words will erase the pain in your hearts today , but please know many of us are praying for you and your family, and will never forget Mel for his love of sports and the outdoors.
