My heart hurts for you, Mark, Kyle & Todd. Your Mom/Grandma to Kyle will be thoroughly missed - she was always my biggest support and told me so in words and by cards. She was truly an example of sisterly love and appreciation. We spent many many hours yakking together on the telephone, just catching up, sometimes discussing current events and of course complaining to each other. Various foods was also discussed - Nora loved to try out new recipes. Some did not turn out but she packed it up anyway for Mark and Kyle. (Between you and me, I doubt that it was eaten.) Nora loved to tell stories of her childhood, and she told me stories of her beloved, Joe, and their travels. We would laugh and laugh when she reminded me often of how Joe stopped his car on the side of a country road, I was in the car with the two of them, and she got behind the wheel and drove about 20 ft. away. Joe would run behind the car calling "Nori, wait!" He'd almost catch up to the car and then she'd drive away again for another 10-20 ft. She did this about 3 times and it did not anger him. You had to be there to think it was funny, especially when I encouraged her by telling her to "Go, Go".
Nora was a very hard and dedicated worker. Never called in sick (as far as I know) and she retired a lot later than normal people. She was in her late 70's before she called it quits. What a super woman and a great example.
I called Nora at the hospital for two days in a row, unbeknownst that she was already unresponsive. In fact, I thought she was out of her room having tests. Today, my heart said "Oh, you should call Nora" and then my brain kicked in and so did reality.
I am missing you "my sister, Nora" but I'm positive we will meet again.

What a beautiful tribute to such a beautiful woman ~ you captured the essence of your mom very well!
We will miss you, Auntie Nora. We find comfort in knowing you are no longer struggling, no longer in pain, you are now at peace with Grandma & Grandpa and the rest of your family who have already passed on.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you Mark & Todd and your children. Your mom was very proud of her boys and will forever be your Guardian Angel.
Lots love Richard, Debbie & Braeden Piché
