While we are sad that a great man is no longer with us, we are proud and happy that he was a large part of our lives. Even though Uncle Alfie lived in another province he was closer than many others who lived near. He made time for everyone and always had kind and encouraging words. While Uncle Alfie will be missed by many, everyone whose lives he touched are grateful to have called him family or friend.
Til our spirits meet again.

Uncle Alfie was such a warm caring person
One of my favourite memories were the Loeb family Christmas get togethers. They would go to different homes each year and have dinner and play cards. For about the last 6-10 years they would go to the Olive Garden and I was able to attend as my mom didn’t drive. I was so lucky Uncle Alfie and Auntie Lynn would come often as family was so important. I also have lots of memories from childhood at the James, Lackman’s, Endler’s and the Loeb farms. Rest In Peace Uncle Alfie. You will be missed. My condolences to Auntie Lynn and all of your family

Sincere condolences to Marilyn and family at this difficult time. I'll miss Karl's greetings at Kilworth church on Sunday mornings. Often a hug was included. I'll also miss him sitting in front of me during services. He was always ready to help--- with collection if no one else was available or to move tables etc for any events we had. Or whatever !!! He was a valued member of our church family. He will be missed.
May you be comforted by the many warm thoughts of those who care.
Blessings,
Mae

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time of sadness and remembrance.
I remember 'Grandpa' Loeb as a welcoming presence at my first 'Loeb family gathering' in Delaware years ago. Meeting the 'Loeb crew' for the first time in one fell swoop like that can definitely be intimidating and stressful for a newbie, but Grandpa Loeb welcomed me like another member of the family, making a shy/insecure young(ish) man feel like he belonged. I remember him being quick to smile, and always ready with a friendly pat on the shoulder to show he cared.
His earthly presence will be sorely missed, but I suspect he'll still be 'reaching down' to offer encouraging pats on the shoulder from time to time.
