Obituary of Stanley Robert Dolson

Stanley passed away on May 17, 2020 at Oneida Long Term Home in Southwold, Oneida , Ontario. Predeceased by his loving wife Ann Dolson (Halsey), daughter Kathryn Dolson, parents Annabelle Dolson (Doxator) and William Stanley Dolson and brother Sidney Earl Dolson. Will be sadly missed by his loving children Barbara Fisk, Deborah Belmont, Stanley Dolson Jr. and step father to Joseph Dolson, Jay Halsey, Greg Halsey. Grandfather to 13 and great-grandfather to 17, and several friends and family members from the Munsee and Oneida Reserves. My dad was an iron worker with Local 25, out of Detroit for many years. He traveled to many states working on bridges and tall structures. He followed the footsteps of his dad climbing on the iron. His mother was grandma to many and did housekeeping chores for families in between taking care of her son Sid. He went by the name of "Bear" for many years and many didn't even know his real name. In later years it became "Papa Bear" to his grandkids. He was a quick witted jokester who liked to make others laugh. He and his wife, Ann, were avid dog lovers for many years! We would also like to thank the ONLT facility for their years of care for my dad. Also, to the many friendships that were developed during that time, especially "Joe". A private graveside service will be held at Lower Muncey Cemetery, Muncey, Ontario Memorial Donations can be made to the Oneida Long Term Facility in his honor.
