I too graduated from Alma College (1954) - I met your mom when I was a student and she was working in the office. When I first arrived I answered the telephone in the front hall as one of my scholarship duties - I had to run up and down the stairs to let the students know they had a phone call...I also had to monitor the call - they got 10 minutes. In the summer of 1953 Bell Canada installed a new phone system and with it came a switchboard...I was one of the operators! Your Mom was so helpful getting me settled in and comfortable with the new fangled system.
After graduation, I kept in touch with your mom thru the Alma College Alumnae and I also kept up with her success in the world of real estate. Visited that cute Victorian home on Talbot Street that turned into a functioning, successful real estate office.
Also had the pleasure of attending several Alma College alumnae meetings at Lois' home off Riverside Drive.
Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss...she was a great woman, a strong woman and I called her my friend.
