Seth Logan
With pockets full of skipping stones,
And tools of iron, steel, and bones,
He tracked the creeks and caught the frogs,
And scrambled over mossy logs.
A handsome face, a sincere heart,
Who played a brave, unselfish part.
He loved his own with fierce embrace,
Though quick to flash a temper’s grace—
A fiery spark that burned as true
As any hero ever knew.
He collected gadgets, gear, and blade,
Yet gave the greatest gift he made:
His loyal love, his open hand,
The finest soul across the land.
Though tragic storms cut short his day,
And stole his roaring laugh away,
The tools remain, the memories stay,
As morning turns the dark to gray.
We count the hours he walked with men,
And hope to cross his path again.
