Obituary of Jason Craig Doxtator

With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Jason Craig Doxtator, a proud member of the Oneida Nation of the Thames and a welcomed resident of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, who began his journey to the Creator on Thursday, May 7th, 2026, in his 54th year.

Jason leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend, Candace J. Doxtator (Deleary), with whom he shared a life filled with love, adventure, laughter, and unwavering companionship.

He was a devoted and loving father to Dayshona, Treyton (Jess), Jaiden (Wyatt), and Nevaeh Doxtator, and a proud and loving Papa to Aalayna, who brought immeasurable joy to his life.

Jason will be forever remembered by his sister Jan Doxtator, and his brother and sisters-in-law Kyle Deleary and Kayla Deleary. He was a cherished uncle to Shawlayna, Kayla, Dante, Demetri, and Jaxxon, and a proud great-uncle to Aniyah, Jae, and Ethan.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Brenda Storzer (Rick) of Green Bay, Wisconsin. Jason was predeceased by his father, Delbert Doxtator (1998), as well as his mother-in-law Goldie Deleary (2017) and father-in-law Ron Deleary (2012).

He also leaves behind many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members. Jason will be deeply missed by his aunts Veronica Ninham and Shirley Brown and was predeceased by his aunts Sandra Brown (2024), Virna Brown (2025) and Uncle Bel (2007). He is remembered by his uncles Granger, Tom, and John, along with his aunts Mary Ann, Joanie (Rick) Monica, and Donna, and was predeceased by his aunts Myra, Virginia, Annabelle, and Clarabelle, and his uncle Pete. He is also survived by his uncle Colin.

Jason’s memory will live on in the hearts of the many cousins and friends. His closest brothers: Stan, Dwayne, Ice, Jode, Bel, Craig Chris, Dano, Dwayne (Babe), Von, Elph, Luke, and Clint. His loyalty, humour, generosity, and strong spirit touched countless lives and created friendships that will last a lifetime.

Jason will forever be remembered for his caring heart, his deep love for family and friends, and the strength and kindness he carried throughout his life. Though he has left this world, his spirit and memory will continue to guide and comfort all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Jason’s life will be held at the ELLIOTT-MADILL FUNERAL HOME, Mount Brydges on Thursday, May 14th, 2026, commencing at 11 am. Interment Oneida Zion Anglican Cemetery, Oneida.
