Obituary of Kyle Quinton Cornelius
Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at St. Thomas Hospital on Friday, April 3rd, 2026, Kyle “Lay/\takwas” Cornelius of Oneida Nation in his 41st year.
Beloved son of Elliott (April) Cornelius and the late Noreen (nee: Antone) (2015). Cherished husband of Alanna Doxtator. Loving and proud father of Lathuweyatha and Malia. Dear brother of Curtis (Jen), Courtney (Nikita), Matt (Mikeesha), Shanice (Blade), and the late Joseph Antone (2023). Survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, his in-laws Lucinda (Tony) and Robert (Alicia), Darnell, Jacy, Caitlyn, Antonio, Bow, Tish, Silas, Sarah, Lauren, Emily, Robert and Logan.
Kyle was well known at the local ball diamonds and hockey rinks throughout his years and will be missed by the many people he played with and helped coach. He took great pride in being an awesome hockey dad. The many lives he touched through his positivity by helping others. Kyle will also be missed by the many customers he served and became familiar with over the years at Stand Alone Smokes.
Family will receive friends at the home of Alanna and Kyle, 1561 Elijah Road on Monday, April 6th, 2026, after 6 pm. The Celebration of Kyle’s Life will be held at the RIVER ROAD LONGHOUSE on Wednesday commencing at 11 am. Interment Cornelius Family Cemetery, Elijah Road.
