Obituary of Patricia Ann Kovacs

Peacefully after a lengthy illness, Sunday March 29th, 2026. Patricia Kovacs (nee Calcutt) of Mount Brydges in her 84th year.

Loving wife of Frank Kovacs and mother of Val (Peter) Procenko of Wasaga Beach, Sandy Gallagher of Mount Brydges, and Steven Kovacs of London. Grandma of Danielle, Alexandria, Stephanie, Amanda, Natasha, Nicholas, Karlie, Morganna, and Eccaia. Great Grandma of Aria, Case, and Sawyer. Plus many in her extended family.

Pat and Frank’s journey together was rooted in the soil of Mt. Brydges. Starting in 1963, they spent 35 years building a life on their tobacco farm on Falconbridge Drive. For Pat, life was simple but profound: it was defined by the rhythm of the farm and the love of her family. In 1998, they retired from the farm and moved into town, but the hard work of farming was simply replaced by the joy of family. Their home in Mt. Brydges became a hub of laughter and love, centered around the backyard pool. It was there that Pat created lasting memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren—moments that will be cherished by the generations she helped grow. The strength of their partnership was never more evident than in recent years. After Pat suffered a stroke in 2013, she remained at home for the rest of her life, supported by the unwavering and loving care of her husband, Frank. Their story remains a beautiful testament to the vows they took and the life they built together.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the PSWs for their dedicated and continued home care over the years. We also offer our sincere appreciation to the palliative care team at Strathmere Lodge for their compassion and support.

In memory of Pat, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
