Obituary of Archibald Arbuckle Warnock
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life fully lived that we share that on Sunday, February 8th, 2026, Archie was gently guided into Our Saviour’s loving arms.
Born on March 21, 1930, in Wishaw, Scotland, Archie carried the fortitude of his heritage when he immigrated to Canada in 1956. Before his arrival, he proudly served in the British Royal Air Force, where he trained German Shepherds to guard the base and, there, met his long-time friend Tony (Pearl) Broomfield.
Archie was an expert in the canine world as a world-renowned all-breed dog show judge. His keen eye and expertise took him to rings globally. He was well known in London for years through his successful dog grooming and boarding business.
On May 25, 1991, Archie married the love of his life, Barbara June Warnock (Nee Carruthers) Their union was his greatest joy—a partnership built on laughter and unwavering devotion. Archie is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara; his loving daughters, Carol Cranston (David) and Deborah Edwards (the late Don, d. 2018); and his step-daughters, Heather Deisley (David) and Christina Parker. He was a proud grandfather to Madisson Parker, Katherine Edwards, Tyler Deisley, and Emily Deisley. He is reunited in peace with his grandson, Spencer (d. 2018).
Archie has been asked to save a seat in Heaven for his "Barbie", who will never say “Goodbye”. When she arrives at the Pearly Gates, she will shout her usual “Honey, I’m home”!!!
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt "special thank you" to the caring staff at McGarrell Place in London, Ontario. They made every day special through their exceptional care and by creating a warm, loving family-like environment.
A very special thank you to the team at University Hospital, Emergency Dept. for their compassionate care.
Archie will be missed by many who especially enjoyed his endless stories and sharp Scottish wit. Archie’s journey was one of service, passion, and an enduring love that touched hearts across the globe.
