Obituary of Arnold Laverne Albert

Arnold Albert (White Cloud) of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, in his 89th year. 

He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Linda Albert; his daughter Arlene; and stepchildren Jeff (Dawn) and Tracey (Ivan), predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mabel, his daughters Debbie McManus (Ed) and Tracey Hendrick (Paul) and his siblings Walt, Clarence, Gord, Reg, George, Charlotte, Sophie and Audrey. 

Arnold proudly served his country as a Communications Specialist with the Royal Canadian Navy for 14 years, a role he carried out with dedication, discipline, and quiet pride. He was also a long-time member of both the Royal Canadian Legion and the RCNA, maintaining strong ties to the military community throughout his life.

Arnold was an Eagle Staff Carrier for many cultural events and was a respected member of the Loon Clan, honouring his traditions with dignity and pride.

He leaves behind a large and loving family, including many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild, as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Arnold will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, cultural pride, and deep commitment to family. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

As per Arn’s wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date.
