Obituary of Brenda Aileen Adams
Peacefully and surrounded by loved ones, Brenda Aileen (MacGregor) Adam's passed to the arms of her Saviour Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 72 years of age at Bluewater Health, Sarnia.
Brenda was born May 15, 1953, in Sarnia to Cameron and Doris (Lockrey) MacGregor (later Hilborn). She had a lifelong love of horses—especially pintos—and spent many joyful years horseback riding and caring for the horses she owned.
Brenda was an amazing gardener and no matter where she lived, her plants thrived outdoors and in. Brenda trained at Lambton College to be a nurse. She was a wonderful nurse to many at the North Lambton Rest Home/Lodge. Even after she retired, she worked in other capacities at rest homes and only recently stopped working at the Country Manor Estates Retirement Home in Thedford.
In recent years, Brenda really enjoyed life at Woodhaven Park with the community and neighbors there. She even took on some landscaping at the park and created beautiful gardens for people to enjoy. Brenda also enjoyed her church community at Pinery Baptist and her friendships made there. Painting was another of Brenda's skills that she excelled at. Her most recent project was at her church just a few months ago.
Brenda is survived by her loving daughter Bobbi MacGregor and caring sisters Carole (MacGregor) Agar and Janette (MacGregor) McIntosh. Predeceased by her parents, her sister Bonnie (MacGregor) Elliott, nephew Chad Elliott and brothers-in-law Ken McIntosh and Don Agar. She will be missed by her niece Colleen Elliott, Kim (Elliott) Bresssett, and Nicole Elliott and 'adopted' daughters Sheri Longboat and Dorinda Hoornweg; and by her dear friends Norma and Ed Wilson, Steve Clemens, and Susie and Tom Prout, who offered her steadfast kindness and support.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Bluewater Health for their attentive and compassionate care, with special appreciation for the palliative care team. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Brenda’s Life will be held on Tuesday, February 10th from 2-5pm at Pinery Baptist Church, 8751 Lakeshore Road, Lambton Shores (Thedford), Ontario.
