Obituary of Larry Allen Custance
Peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side on Wednesday, January 28th, 2026, Larry “Big Lare” Custance of Mount Brydges and formerly of Chatham in his 72nd year.
Beloved husband and best friend for 51 years of Brenda (nee: Youngblut). Loving father of Tanya (Chris), Trevor (Jessie), Teresa (Michael) and Trent (Jessica). Proud grandpa of Brooklynn (Camden), Mackenzie, Marcus, Alan, Mavryk, Ryleigh, Shane, Everly and Malakai. Dear brother of Sandee and Bonnie. Lovingly remembered by his mother-in-law Corrine Youngblut and his sisters-in-law Cheryl and Heather. Survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. "Big Lare" "coached with kindness, loved his family, and felt most at peace on the water".
Family will receive friends at the ELLIOTT-MADILL FUNERAL HOME, Mount Brydges on Sunday, February 1st, 2026, from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 pm. A remembrance service under the Council of The Knights of Columbus – Council 7570 will be held Sunday, commencing at 6:30 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at All Saints Parish, 124 Fronts Street East, Strathroy, on Monday, February 2nd commencing at 11 am which will be livstreamed for those who are unable to attend. Father Gerard Bedard officiating. Cremation with inurnment Sacred Heart in the Fields Cemetery, Mount Brydges.
