Obituary of Bernhard Leopold Westerterp

 

Bernard 'Ben' Leopold Westerterp of Ipperwash, Lambton Shores passed away at his residence Monday, January 6, 2025. Survived and sadly missed by his sisters Agnes De Groot(John), Thea Ewald (Late Glen) and brother Peter(Lineke) and brother-in-law Lou Barnes and sister-in-law Cynthia Westerterp.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Dick(Late Elanor), brother John, sister Ann DeKraker(Late Bob) and sister Bertha Barnes.

Sadly missed by Brenda Adams and many friends at Woodhaven.

 

Ben came from the Netherlands with his family as a child.  He enjoyed being in the woods, splitting wood and being in nature.  

He operated forklifts for Martin Lift Truck in Alymer for many years and loved his work.  

He enjoyed transporting RV's through North America in his later years and life in Woodhaven Park. At Mr. Westerterps request Cremation has taken place. Interment of cremated remains to be held at a later date. Elliott-Madill Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
