Obituary of Tyler Kechego
Unexpectedly at St. Thomas Hospital on Monday, December 8th, 2025, Tyler “Goalie” Kechego of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation in his 40th year.
Loving son of Veronica Kechego and the late Bill Barrett. Cherished husband of Alyssa. Proud father of Aiyana, Elaina, and Ivan. Dear brother of Janice (Dave), Tracey (Steve), Jennie, Jeff (Monique), Dwight, and Wyatt (Shelby). Survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Tyler was the Deputy Chief of the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation Fire Department, which he proudly served his community for 19 years. “Goalie” will be sadly missed between the pipes and fondly remembered by all his teammates, past and present.
Family will receive friends at the Chippewa Community Centre, 326 Chippewa Road, Muncey on Friday, December 12th, 2025, from 2 to 9 pm where the Celebration of Tyler’s Life will be held Saturday commencing at 11 am. Interment Middlemiss First Nation Cemetery, Muncey.
