Obituary of Ralph James Smith

Peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025, Ralph Smith of Mount Brydges in his 71st year.

Beloved husband and best friend for 51 years of Marilyn Smith (nee Thomas). Loving father of Michael (Sue) Smith, Sheri (Orlando) Faccenda. Proud grandpa of Nathan, Ella, Malynne and Amelia. Dear brother of Marg Henderson, Bruce Smith, Carol Sammut, Eileen McCoy and Greg Smith. Missed by sister-in-law Dianna Thomas and many nieces, nephews, cousin, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his sister Myrt Hastings, brothers-in-law Jim Hastings, Bill Henderson, Tony Sammut and Larry Thomas.

Ralph proudly worked for London Machinery for 30 years assembling cement mixers. He loved and was extremely proud of his family. Ralph’s pride and joy was his “55 Chevy Bel Air”.

Family will receive friends at the ELLIOTT-MADILL FUNERAL HOME, Mount Brydges on Friday, December 5th, 2025, from 4 – 8 pm. A Celebration of Ralph’s Life will be held at Caradoc Community Centre, 565 Lions Park Rd, Mount Brydges, on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, with words of remembrance commencing promptly at 1 pm with a time of fellowship immediately following until 5 pm.
