Obituary of Garey Charlie Dockstater

Peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Tuesday, November 11^th, 2025, Garey Charlie Dockstater of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation in his 83^rd year. Beloved husband for 51 years of Sharon Dockstater (nee Kennedy). Loving father of Leslie (Clarence), Jamie, Tammy (Joseph), Corey, Chanda, Miranda (Drew), the late Amanda, and Kristen (Elvin). Cherished grandfather to Nichole, Devon, Koree, Jordan, Brandon, Shania, Dawson, Corban, Trenton, Conner, Ashton, Adonis, Amias, Amara and 12 great-great grandchildren. Predeceased by his foster parents Mary Peters and Irvin Albert.

Family will receive friends at Garey’s Home, 492 Anishinaabeg Road on Thursday, November 13^th, 2025 from 6 – 9 pm and on Friday from 4 – 9 pm with an all-night wake commencing Friday at 11 pm. A Celebration of Garey’s life will be held on Saturday, November 15^th, 2025 from his home commencing at 11 am. Cremation to follow.
