Obituary of Jason William Reid
Peacefully, surrounded by love, after a short but valiant battle on Thursday, November 6th, 2025, Jason Reid of Mount Brydges and formerly of Windsor in his 58th year.
Devoted caretaker of his furless companion Suki who will miss him immensely. Loving brother of Karen of Scotland and Carla of Windsor and numerous loving family in Canada and the UK. Predeceased by his parents William and Eileen (nee: Taylor) Reid. Jason will be greatly missed by his fellowship of Bill W.
A devoted training meditation teacher and content creator, with a resilient Buddhist belief, Jason was to share his wisdom through his YouTube Channel, Meditation with Jason, hoping to help countless people find presence, courage, and peace in their daily lives.
He celebrated over 11 years of sobriety, and his journey inspired many in the AA community. Jason fought many adversities in his life and devoted much time and effort to his recovery.
As per Jason’s request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Jason’s life will be held at COMPASS COMMUNITY CHURCH,, 405 Drury Lane, Strathroy, Ontario N7G 3G2 on Thursday, November 20th, 2025 commencing at 7 pm, with a time of fellowship to follow.
An open meeting of the Extra Mile Group will be held on Sunday, Novemeber 16th at 7 pm at Compass Community Church for those wishing to share memories of Jason and how he may have played a part in your Journey.
Jason supported meaningful beliefs close to his heart, including AA, the Ontario SPCA, The Humane Society, and the Canadian Mental Health Association. Donations in his memory gratefully acknowledged.
