Obituary of John Dennis Berdan
After a life well lived, it is with great sadness that the family of John Berdan of Petrolia and formerly of Glencoe, announce his peaceful passing, with family by his side, on Friday, August 1st, 2025, in his 79th year.
Cherished husband and best friend for 38 years of Karen Berdan (nee Braithwaite). Loving father of Chantelle Berdan (Juilien), Natasha (Mark) Robbins, and Shelbie (Matt) Wilson. Proud and doting grandpa of Hailey, Nathan, Cooper, Tate, and Kemp. Dear brother of Gary (Bonnie) Berdan. Survived by his nephews Sean (Lynn) and Michael (Robin) and their families. Predeceased by his parents A.D. (1992) and Lillian Berdan (nee Hull) (2017), his brother Brian Edward (1956) and his mother-in-law Donna Braithwaite (2007).
John was a man of quiet strength, deep love for his family, and a steady presence in the lives of those who knew him.

As per John’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Family asks everyone to remember and celebrate John by sharing stories and memories with one another.
