We want to extend our condolences to Valerie’s beloved family. Valerie was an illustrious Elder whose life radiated wisdom, compassion, and quiet strength. She carried a presence that made everyone feel seen, heard, and deeply valued. Her ability to listen without judgment, speak with intention, and offer guidance rooted in love was a gift to all who knew her.
Her devotion to her children—Christina Mae, Billy Jack, and Lynnette—was unwavering. This profound love extended to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, evident in every word she spoke about them and every act of care she offered. She was a true matriarch—a guiding light whose teachings and gentle spirit will live on through the generations.
Valerie’s kindness and humanity reached far beyond her family. Val was a voice of wisdom in the community, a safe place for many, and a source of strength in times of uncertainty. The legacy she leaves behind is rich with love, teachings, and the kind of grace that only a few carry in this life.
May her spirit find rest among the ancestors, and may her family be comforted by the depth of her impact and the warmth of the memories she leaves behind. Our communities are left better for the next generations because of her dedication to community.
