Obituary of William Earl Arnel

We sadly announce the passing of William Arnel, on February 17 2025, in his 99th year, at AgeCare in Parkhill.

He leaves behind his wife of almost 76 years, Barbara Arnel (Johnson). Loving father of Sherrill (Ron) of Strathroy, Susan (Bill) of Paris. He also leaves behind four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Predeceased by his parents, all his siblings and a great grandchild (2002).

He was a foreman at E.J. Wrights for 27 years, and drove truck for Glendale Mobile Homes. He was an active member of the Strathroy Volunteer fire department for 22 years, holding every position from firemen to acting fire chief. Both he and Barb enjoyed many years camping at Paisley and Port Glasgow. 

A grateful thank you to the nursing staff and Dr. Whynot at AgeCare Parkhill for their excellent care while he was a resident there. 

As per his wishes cremation has taken place, and no funeral service or Celebration of Life, will be held.

As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to AgeCare in Parkhill or Alzheimers Society.
