Sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. Condolences to his wife Barb, daughter Sherrill and son-in-law Ron and family. Although I didn’t know Bill well, the several times I had the pleasure to talk to him I could tell he was a kind and gentle soul. Sending prayers for comfort and peace in the days ahead.

My deepest condolences and sympathy for the loss of Bill to all of his children, grandchildren, and their families. It was always great to sit down with Bill and hear his stories from the fire department, and to see him light up when showing me his CB radio, or talking about his computers. My thoughts are with the whole family during this difficult time, hugs to everyone.

So sorry to read Bill’s obituary. He and his family were neighbours back in the 1950’s. Just a few years ago, he shared his stories of his fire department days, especially the role of the fire department in the visits of Santa to the children of Strathroy in past years. Learning how Santa made it to the roof of the age Dispatch roof was an eye-opener. Larry Peters
