Obituary of Wilma Elizabeth Spencer

Peacefully at home surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, December 21st, 2015 Wilma Elizabeth Spencer (nee Whitney) of London in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late H. Bruce Spencer (2002). Loving mother of Lynda (Jake) Feenstra, Steve (Deborah) Spencer, Bonnie (Wayne) Bowron, Rob (Jean) Spencer & Shelley (Johl) Tidgwell. Dear grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Cherished sister of Grace Acheson & predeceased by her brother Milburn Whitney & sister Ruth Davidson. Fondly remembered by sister-in-law Betty Whitney & predeceased by brothers-in-law James Acheson, Malcolm Davidson. Greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, friends from Harmony Woods & Oakridge Presbyterian Church. A special thank you to the staff at VON & E Shift teams for all their loving care and support. As per Wilma's wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 28th 2015 at the Oakridge Presbyterian Church (970 Oxford Street West,London) with a visit with the family from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Service to follow at 11:00 am. A family interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Milverton at 3:00 pm.In lieu of flowers, donations to the VON London Middlesex, The Canadian Cancer Society or the Oakridge Presbyterian Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
