Obituary of Tom Dwyer

Suddenly, at home with family by his side on Friday, August 18th 2017, Tom Dwyer of Mount Brydges in his 79th year. Loving husband and best friend of Lois Dwyer (Lowes) for 59 years. Dear father of Brad, predeceased by Daniel (Boomer, 2015). Cherished by daughter-in-laws Gayle and Sonja. Loving grandfather of Danielle (Mitchell) and Michelle (Ricky). Great-Pop to Avery, Bryce and Asher (2014). Over many years Tom enjoyed an active roll in his Mount Brydges community, involved in the Mount Brydges Minor Hockey Association, baseball, Mount Brydges Hydro Board, and an active member of the Mount Brydges Legion #251. Tom served the Mount Brydges and area as our accountant for 35+ years. He will be greatly missed by family and many friends. Special thanks to the Strathroy EMS, and to the ER doctors and nurses at Strathroy Middlesex General for their wonderful care. 

Friends will be received at the Elliott-Madill Funeral Home, Mount Brydges on Wednesday, August 30th from 7-9 p.m with a Legion Service at 6:30 p.m. Friends will also be received on Thursday August 31st from 2-4 p.m. with a reception to follow at the Mount Brydges Legion (33 Veterans Drive). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation or the Salvation Army would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. As per Tom's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family service is to be held at a later date.
